| INTRODUCTION |

Cooperative
sector has already taken a lead role in the economic development
of Nepal. Due to community oriented philosophy for the betterment
of the society, cooperatives prove useful in raising living
standards of especially middle and lower-middle class. Most of
Nepal's population are forced to live under poverty.
On one hand there is poverty and on the other hand there is a
problem of unemployment. There is scarcity of income generating
opportunities and thus people are forced under this quagmire of
poverty.
Inspite of such grim outlook, Charumati Cooperative was
established in 2048 B.S. by utilizing the tiny but dormant capital
and investing such capital towards lower income businessmen, civil
servants, workers, professionals etc. Charumati strives to instill
the feeling of cooperative nature while accumulating tiny capitals
from such communities.
Charumati members can help each other out by utilizing the
collected funds.
Nepal Government authorized the establishment of "Charumati
Multipurpose Co-operative" in 1991 A.D. We are committed to
uplift the living standards of disadvantaged members by providing
easy to procure loans. Our goal is to set an example of being the
best in cooperative market sector of the nation.
